Welcome to Riverside Networks new blog, we
hope you like it, for news and updates of what we are doing, keeping
you all posted of new development programs, for a more enjoyable World
Wide Web experience for all our friends across the net.
This is our first posting, on the new design of our blog pages and the
new Mediacast Channels.
That are coming on-line in the next few days!!!
We know for many of you in our industry, these are difficult times.
Last year we saw the doors finally close, on our old friend Netscape.
But we will endeavour to continue in the spirit of those early
day's of the net, have fun developing new web tools that can be enjoyed
by everyone free!
This coming year, we are sure that many more of the community will join
us here at Riverside Networks, as we endeavour, to provide a true
portal service. Where we intend to create a central hub, for all the
best deserving web sites on the net.
Until now, there has never been a pure portal, for over the past decade
and more some. Most service providers and companies connected to our
industry, have failed to interact and co-exist with each other.
So our aims are very clear and at the same time of creating a community
of the best across the net. We have the chance also to help improve the
web further, with the introduction of new program systems to protect
minors (parental
ratings system).
We are fortunate, as one of the leading developers, on the World Wide
Web. To be able to under take, such a project. Just like our friends
did at Netscape, when they
developed the Open Directory Project.
Like then, we are always looking at the big picture wondering what can
be achieved, and sometimes. There are certain things, that just have to
be done and the Who's
Who Directory is one of them.
Please keep coming back, as more parts of our global network is
improving and changing by the day.
We have now started to promote the new, Who's Who Web Directory, and
more great deserving web sites are being listed free every day.
Our Search Engine is doing well, and the database, is getting larger.
We spider the service every monday morning, so we have strong
connectivity, to ensure all the new web sites that have been added in
the week, before the weekend. Can be found in the search results, the
following Monday.
